“You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you” -Kahlil Gibran
There is a growing amount of research suggesting that children are stressed and anxious more than ever before. This can show up in their relationships with friends and family, and it can affect their enjoyment and performance in their hobbies or sports, as well in school.
The Possibility Centre, works with children and parents to help manage this stress and anxiety not only today, but as they grow up and face new challenges.
Ideas explored include:
- Laying the foundation early with mindfulness and self compassion training
- Building resilience through assessing their strengths and Christine Duvivier’s “Gifts that conflict with school”™
- Understanding the courage of a growth mindset
- Discovery and play to increase their positive experiences
